Haha, *tumbleweed* is so appropriate.

I dunno what the rules of promoting things in here are (I would assume they're quite lax due to the lack of posts though, hahaha)

I've been a member of parapara for a looong time now, but only thought about this community recently because I'm trying to start a group in Australia to do ... well, basically random stuff.

I should explain, I felt incredibly inspired by Improv Everywhere which is a group in New York City which do lots of different random acts of comedy, the best way to understand is to just watch a few of their videos (I recommend Frozen Grand Central and Subway Art Gallery Opening to get an idea) ...

I've started my own site Improv Down Under to try and start a similar group in Australia, and I figured that one of the random things we could do would be a mob of ParaParalists suddenly appearing in a public arena to do a routine before vanishing as quickly as they arrived.
The site could be used a means to educate about ParaPara in general as well, if the idea had enough support.

So, if you think you might be interested, please join!

Lol. This is the only community I've added and nothing much seems to be happening!

Anyways, an intro. My name is DeeKay...I live in a regional town that doesn't really know about parapara and if people DID know about it, they would probably just point and laugh. We only have one arcade here, and it doesn't even have DDR! (or any other popular game for that matter).  One day I travelled to this other regional town that gets a lot of Japanese tourists and I found an arcade with PPP. So exciting!

I myself am no parapara whiz. I know a few of the routines but with a lack of people sharing the same interests; it's hard to get motivated to learn anything new. Plus my technique isn't that great so it really doesn't look THAT good after all. I would LOVE to learn techpara and trapara one day.

I know that possibly one day parapara could take off in Oz but I want that day to be NOW! *feels inspired* Haha. I might go learn something now ^.^

I've decided that this community needs to do like... something... so I'm going to start a monthly video post rotation. Every month I'll post a few parapara videos for you all to enjoy, and if you comment saying that it's a good thing, I'll keep doing it until interest dies. That sound OK? :)

This introductory post will just explain a few things about what I'm going to be posting.

Firstly, all videos I post will be in DivX or Mpeg (mostly DivX) - this is to keep filesizes to a minimum in order to allow the most uploaded at any one time. I only have 50mb of webspace so I'm limited with what I can do.

Secondly, I'm aware that posting this type of thing is in breach of this that and the other thing so please don't give me shit, if you don't like the idea then don't participate.

Thirdly... well there is no third thing, other than that I really hope you enjoy the videos I post, and they teach you lots of new routines!! :)

I'll be making the first post shortly. Ja'ne!

Hmmm. I think that para interest in australia needs to be sparked once again.
Go forth and promote. That's what I will be doing anyways :D

well considering I'm the maker of this community I might as well embarrass myself by posting a video of me doing a parapara. It's not like anyone's reading this yet anyway, so I should be safe ;)

Hi~~! This is a community for paralists in Australia who want to find other paralists in Australia. It's really hard to find people in this country who even know what parapara is, so I thought this might be a great way for us to get to know each other~!

お楽しみ下さい~
